How to enable and disable Developer options in in Android 8.0 Oreo?

The last time I did Android programming was 3 years back.  Now, when I tried to install an app using ADB tool on my Moto G, I found that Android Developer Options was missing. I did a little search on internet and I understood since Jelly bean Google have hid the Developer Options. So, I thought I will share the procedure to enable the Developer Options in Android Kitkat devices.

Enable Development Options In Android Kitkat

The procedure is easy. For your convenience, screenshots are also provided.

Go to Settings > About Phone  . Tap on Build Number 7 times to enable  the “Developer Options”.

Well, that’s it. It’s as simple as that. The option is hidden by default  so that the normal (ignorant) users and kids don’t accidentally tamper with sensitive settings/files on the smartphone. Now, let’s see how to rollback and hide the “Developer Options”.

Go to Settings > Apps > All > Settings > Clear Data  . This will hide the “Developer Options” and you can get back the option by tapping 7 times on Build Number as explained above.

    Hi Emmanuel,
It’s nice to see you back here.

Nope. It won’t affect other 3rd party applications explicitly. But the truth is Android OS have lot of security flaws. Hence, while installing 3rd party apps you should be careful. It can loot away some sensitive information or may be even can cause clash with another app.

Hi, After enabling developer options on my Moto X and changing animations to None from 0.5x. The normal animation got screwed up. Even dialer screen has observable delay. This does not change to normal after changing the settings. Any ways to change the developer settings back to factory values.
I did a factory reset of data. It did not help. Please advise.
