The last time I did Android programming was 3 years back. Now, when I tried to install an app using ADB tool on my Moto G, I found that Android Developer Options was missing. I did a little search on internet and I understood since Jelly bean Google have hid the Developer Options. So, I thought I will share the procedure to enable the Developer Options in Android Kitkat devices.
Enable DEVELOPER OPTIONS
The procedure is easy. For your convenience, screenshots are also provided.
Go to Settings > About Phone . Tap on Build Number 7 times to enable the “Developer Options”.
Well, that’s it. It’s as simple as that. The option is hidden by default so that the normal (ignorant) users and kids don’t accidentally tamper with sensitive settings/files on the smartphone. Now, let’s see how to rollback and hide the “Developer Options”.
Disable DEVELOPER OPTIONS
Go to Settings > Apps > All > Settings > Clear Data . This will hide the “Developer Options” and you can get back the option by tapping 7 times on Build Number as explained above.
I hope the post helped you. Start developing cool apps and contribute to Android Community.
