Samsung launches Galaxy Mega

Only a few days ago, we heard rumors that Samsung is coming up with a giant phablet. But, now it’s official and Samsung have launched the giant phone. It will be coming in two sizes – 5.8 inches and 6.3 inches. The phones are believed to be blend of S4 smartphones and the Samsung Note phablets.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

It packs a 6.3 inch LCD screen with HD display, a dual core A15 cortex processor and will run Android 4.2 OS. Though big in Size, Samsung claims that it’s ultra thin and portable enough to put into a pocket or hold in a hand. It will also offer user experiences like split-screen and multi-tasking between video and other apps.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8

Galaxy Mega 5.8 is smaller in size on comparison and the screen resolution is heard to quarter-HD and a reduced clock speed for the processor. Unlike it’s bigger version 6.3, it will not support LTE and NFC.

The Galaxy Mega handsets will launch in market from May and the roll out will be starting from Europe. Some sites report that the pre-order price is at €699.
